Take Long Take (Secuencia Plano Secuencia in Spanish) is a site-specific exhibition by Almudena Lobera, conceived for the third floor of CentroCentro in Madrid. Inspired by the symmetrical, horseshoe-shaped architecture of the Palacio de Cibeles, the exhibition offers a mirrored journey, in which visitors move continuously through the space, much like a cinematic long take.

The exhibition explores dualities and repetition, using the unique architecture of the venue as a narrative device. A blue band at neck height runs throughout the entire floor, transforming the space into a metaphorical pool. This visual element connects all the rooms and recalls Lobera’s previous works on liminality and perception.

Themes such as visibility, dual identity, and the subconscious are present throughout the exhibition—from the video La Bellaventura, where palmistry intersects with beauty rituals, to sculptures like Falling and...More expand_more
